Patient Accounts Rep II - Community Hospital (Victoria, TX)
Responsible for the effective and consistent follow-up on all assigned Medicare/Insurance related hospital claims ensuring all payments are current and accurate and that all collection and follow-up activity is kept current within standards.
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience:
Two to three years experience in a hospital patient financial services department or medical office accounts receivable setting.
Proficient in written and verbal communications; possess efficiency in computer skill, excel work sheets and clerical related skills.
Familiar with third party payer and managed care payer reimbursement methodology.
Required Attributes:
Able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards.
Able to function effectively under stressful conditions.
Motivated, articulate and detail oriented.
