PURPOSE The position is based in the Victoria office, however services may be required within the Eagle Ford area from Victoria/Cuero to Cotulla.
ACCOUNTABILITIES • Alignment with the BHP Billiton operating principles and Charter Values • Deliver all services in line with Corporate and Petroleum IM policies and standards • Resolve problems and deliver IM services to the PU according to the approved IT SLA • Escalate problem calls and work orders as required by the IM SLA • Investigate and specify the solution to defects and improve practices.
• Optimize system configuration and ensure all systems are resilient, available and secure • Maintain asset tracking databases as required when equipment is issued or relocated • Assist in the planning and execution of IM projects • Generate root cause analysis (RCA) reports against equipment failures, defects etc.
and implement improvements • Execute changes in line with IM change control procedures and engineering management of change (MOC) processes • Manage contractors such that BHPB HSE standards are met and be accountable for the deliverables of all contractors being supervised • Function as rotating member of the IMT Team for the PU EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES • Installation, configuration and maintenance of relevant Servers and Desktop and Laptop PCs • Knowledge of data communications • Knowledge of relevant Microsoft operating systems • General knowledge of Shale field operations • Knowledge of all relevant applications/software • Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good personal and interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS • Prefer a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems, Information Systems, or similar degree programs • Will accept a University Degree in other concentrations with 5 years of role relevant IT operations experience Prefer one or more of the following professional certifications • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in relevant Operating System(s) • Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) • Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) THINK OF THE OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN BHP BILLITON.
